I’m twenty-nine years old and have suffered with migraines, jaw pain, clicks and pops, facial tenderness, neck and shoulder pain for most of my life. I have seen many specialists over the years for these problems with no success.
It was when my daughter got braces that I met Dr Lawson. Through conversation I had mentioned my concerns regarding my jaw and he explained that he could help me. I decided to schedule an appointment for an assessment. After taking an x-ray of my jaw joint and showing me why I was having so much pain, he had explained the treatment. The first phase was to wear an orthotic appliance during the day that repositioned my bite and a night appliance to prevent me from grinding my teeth. I started wearing the appliances and within two days I noticed a big difference. One week later I could not imagine going without it. I was skeptical at first but once my pain was completely relieved I knew the therapy was helping me.
After approximately five months of wearing the appliances and monthly progress check-ups with Dr Lawson I was ready for phase two. I decided to have braces put on and permanently adjust my bite to the pain free position.
The life change for me is unbelievable. I have no more pain in my face, neck, shoulders, and my headaches, clicks and pops are all gone. My only regret is that I did not start this sooner. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who had had similar problems.
