I was referred to Dr. Lawson for clenching, grinding, sleep disorder and TMJ pain. I had been in agony almost daily for over 2 years. In that time, I had gone through 3 dentists/specialists and spent months receiving treatment that either didn’t work or even made it worse. By the time I got to Dr. Lawson, my pain was so excruciating, I wasn’t able to function in my daily life anymore. During my consultation, he really took the time to listen to me. He treated me like I mattered! I left his office feeling like a huge weight had been lifted from me. Within a week, I had an appliance. Within 5 days of wearing it, I experienced relief from that debilitating pain. It is so wonderful to be able to do regular everyday things again! Our son (age 9) had a substantial overbite. Dr. Lawson fitted him with an oral trainer (made of some type of rubber) which he was to wear at night for one year. The results were amazing. Now his teeth align perfectly. We paid $500 for this device and all the follow up appointments were free. We have another child that is just starting to wear a trainer from Dr. Lawson’s as well and so far the results look very promising. This second case was one of overlapping and crooked teeth, not an overbite. Overall a very positive experience.

I had the pleasure of being referred to Dr. Lawson in 2010 from Rana Medical as part of being tested for sleep apnea (which luckily it turned out I didn’t have). Dr. Lawson and I had a good discussion about my crooked teeth and the headaches I was having due to years of clenching my jaw. Dr. Lawson assured me during our meeting that he only used jaw surgery as a last resort. He explained that his specialty was TMJ and sleep apnea therefore his primary concern is with jaw alignment and airway but how the teeth look is also factored in. Dr. Lawson himself is truly a wonderful human being.
